The real value of a quotation

A quotation may be the most underestimated commercial document. Which is why we wrote an ebook: your guide for writing better quotations, time after time.

Why send quotations?

Many entrepreneurs will still remember sending out their first quotation. Quite the exciting moment: scouring your inbox - or letterbox - like a hawk, impatiently awaiting the client's response. Will it be accepted or not?

That sense of excitement soon disappears.  Then, one of the following issues may arise:

1. The quotation seems obvious, thus losing its clear, well-defined purpose.

2. The quotation becomes an automatic response, meaning you barely stop to think about its content - and its impact.

3. The quotation is underestimated, while it is actually an immensely powerful sales tool.

The inverse is also true: if you put lots of hours and masses of energy in quotations, then you'd better ensure that a considerable proportion of them are accepted. If not, the cost per quotation rises pretty rapidly.

The checklist for an irresistible quotation

Sales are not an exact science. By applying some simple principles, you can, however, considerably increase the chance of your deals being successful.  Getting your quotations right is a crucial first step.

Start by going through a checklist of the necessary basics. Then, get to work using a number of guidelines to make your customers an offer they can't refuse.

Does this sound like music to your ears? Be sure to download our ebook. Allow it to be your guide for writing better quotations, time after time.
