7 dazzling updates to chase the post-summer blues away

As summer draws to a close, we want to give you an update on the (heat)wave of features and updates we’ve been working on these past months.

We’ve managed to launch no less than 7 updates or improvements over different areas of the tool.

  1. Drive your sales with the new Pipeline view
  2. Take control of your project financials
  3. Improving the mobile Teamleader experience
  4. Delete draft invoices in bulk
  5. Changes in task behaviour
  6. A better PO number flow
  7. Time Tracker supports existing tasks

1. Drive your sales with the new Pipeline view

Arguably the most impactful update we launched this summer, is the new Pipeline view on Deals. This new view offers a way to visualise and track leads through the different stages of your sales process, from first contact (e.g. when they show interest in your product or services) to closing the deal.

The pipeline view orders your deals by sales stage. It helps you set priorities, and maintain overview. Read more about it in this blog or take a look at the video below:

2. Take control of your project financials

The second of our major summer releases is sure to make your project manager’s life easier. On top of the launch of profit on projects earlier this year, we just introduced a better budget management as well.

Combined, these two visualise your core project financials in one overview. This will help you to communicate transparently towards your customer and other key stakeholders within the company.

Read more about it here, or why not try it out yourself?

3. Improving the mobile Teamleader experience

The Teamleader mobile app also received some updates. Instead of listing tasks, meetings and calls separately, the dashboard on mobile now shows your due tasks followed by a clear schedule of your meetings and calls for each day.

On top of that, we also made it possible to complete all the following task-related actions on mobile:

  • Mark tasks as done
  • Track time on tasks
  • Link tasks to deals and projects
  • Check unscheduled tasks
  • Reopen tasks

And you can expect similar actions for both meetings and calls on mobile later this year!

4. Delete draft invoices in bulk

Back in May, we introduced multiple bulk actions on invoices, allowing you to book, send and mark multiple invoices as paid at once. A small change with a huge impact - making this update an instant success.

After introducing bulk actions, we noticed 25% of users select an invoice, and then follow up by deleting it. That led us to believe that adding a bulk action for deleting draft invoices would be a good addition to the existing ones. No sooner said than done: deleting multiple draft invoices in one action is now a fact!

5. Changes in task behaviour

Apart from bringing all calendar activities to mobile, we’re also making it easier to track time and mark them as done.

For tasks, we’ve already split these two concepts on both web and mobile giving your task management more flexibility. You can now mark your tasks as done without being forced to track time, or easily add new time trackings on finished tasks.

To top things off we’ve added finished tasks in your overview and made it possible to segment on them.

6. A better PO number flow

The flow for purchase numbers on invoices has become way better since this summer. It was always possible to add this number, but from now on you can also:

  • Add a PO number when creating or editing an invoice (you no longer need to book it first)
  • Check the PO number on the detail page of your invoice
  • Add PO numbers as a column in your invoicing overview
  • Include PO numbers in your invoicing exports

On top of that, invoices made from a deal or project will automatically take over the PO number filled in on that deal or project.

If you’re not using PO numbers yet, don’t forget to activate them in your invoice settings.

7. Time Tracker supports existing tasks

While we released the Teamleader Time Tracker back in April, there was something missing for some of you: tracking time on an existing task.

Well, we heard your voice and are happy to say that from now on, you can also select pre-made tasks when using the Time Tracker. And while we were at it, we've revamped the design a bit so it's even easier to use. Happy tracking!

As you can see, we’ve been busy these past few months. And we’ll continue to send improvements to Teamleader your way. In case you didn’t know yet, you can always check the latest updates via the gift box in the upper right corner of your Teamleader account.

Enjoy these new features!
