It's been one year since we launched our new mobile app, and it's time for a major update: work orders. Easily keep track of what you did for which customer, and bill your hours accordingly.
The main benefits of this update:
- Add your mileage, working hours, materials and photos
- Create and sign digital work orders in no time
- Keep your team up to speed on completed tasks and materials used
- Easy and user-friendly on smartphone
Wondering about the how, what and why of the new work orders? The time you'll save through this update, could be used to browse through this blog post, for one. Feel free to get yourself a coffee.
A logical update
The mobile work orders update hardly comes as a surprise. The old Teamleader app already allowed you to create work orders, but not as intuitively as you can today. Work orders were one of the most popular features, making the transition to the new app a logical one. The new Teamleader app also offers a better user experience, as CTO Tom Schouteden said before.
"We want to re-think and re-build work orders completely, to cater better to the end user. That asks for a bit more time and resources." - Tom Schouteden after launching the new mobile app.
Work orders in the new app
CTO Tom Schouteden: "the feedback of our test users was very important for this update. We listened to the biggest pains of our customers, and tried to formulate solutions to each one." The new work orders, available today, can help you do a great deal.
1. Digitally creating and signing work orders
On your way to a customer? Use the app to enter your mileage. As soon as you're done working, you simply track your hours and materials and add everything to one PDF. Your customer can sign on the spot. The signed work order is then synced to Teamleader, and your team members.
2. Requesting contact information, creating invoices
The app allows you to add and edit contacts on-the-go, manage your calendar and consult invoicing info. So: on the road and looking for a customer's address? All information is right there at your fingertips.
3. Real-time sync
Each update in the mobile app is synced in real-time. That way, you and your team are always up to speed on achieved tasks and materials used. Turn the work order into an invoice on your desktop, and send it out online right away. You'll no longer need to do this over dinner. Your list of invoices and their payment status can always be tracked in the mobile app.
Want to process multiple work orders at once? Use a simple bulk action to book, send and mark all your invoices as paid.

This addition to the mobile app also allows you to:
- Maintain a clear overview of your work orders
- Update work orders created by colleagues
- See what work was done at a glance
- Track hours for you and your team
- Create work orders for tasks taking several days
Over the coming months, we'll continue to work on the mobile app. Expect some improvements in the near future. We hope you're as happy with this update as we are!
Work orders is not the only update we launched this month. Find out what else you missed.
