Task behaviour in project templates

If you’re an avid user of the Teamleader project module and you have a lot of similar, recurring projects, then chances are you’re making use of the project templates function.

It easily allows you to create a template from a project, which can save you huge amounts of time if all of your projects are more or less built up the same way.

But up until today there was just one minor issue: whenever you created a new project out of a previously created template, ownership of tasks was automatically changed to the owner of the milestone. This could be slightly annoying, because the last thing you want to do when using a pre-made template is having to change all of the depending tasks to the right owner.

So we changed this! As of now, when creating a template out of a project, all task owners will always be transferred along. So when setting up a new project that you want to use as a template, make sure you link the correct owner to the task. That person or team will then always be responsible for it. Which doesn’t mean you can’t change it afterwards of course!
